Today

Fun waves hold as swell mix continues. Winds staying on the lighter side, AM cleanest.

Dawn to 10:00AM: Decent size combo of SSW swell, WNW swell and selective S tropical swell rolling in, for mainly waist-stomach high surf, while best southerly exposures hit head high during favorable morning tides. Very light winds for clean conditions.

Afternoon Outlook: Wave size holds. Winds puff up to a light+ SSW afternoon sea breeze. The onshores ease into the evening. Later afternoon high tide slows tide sensitive breaks.

Capitola Surf Guide

A soft, gentle, right-hand reef/point that is popular with beginners and longboarders, Capitola is a staple of the Santa Cruz surf scene, and has the crowds to prove it (especially in summer). There is also a shorter, slightly more powerful left off the back of the right.
