Santa Cruz Forecast

Chris Borg •

Today

Solid surf peaks late and into Wed as great direction SW swell fills in further. Light AM wind.

Dawn to 10am: A sizeable/strong storm last week near New Zealand sent up a powerful, optimally angled SW swell which is a great direction for Santa Cruz. It will fill in on top of older but still sizey SSW swell and the overlapping swells will deliver plenty of waves. Good spots see consistent shoulder-head high surf, while best southerly exposures are several feet+ overhead. Very light S winds.

Afternoon Outlook: Waves top out as swell peaks. Light+ SSW winds for textured conditions.
