Today

Solid SSW swell continues. Most beachbreaks maxed out with size/current, breaks w/structure best.

Dawn-10am: Very solid surf continues, close in size to yesterday (dependent on the specific spot's preference for swell period, some breaks are bigger/better, while others a little smaller).

Overhead to well overhead surf continues at southerly facing zones, while top spots are 2x overhead. Standouts see some bigger sets.

Fairly clean this morning with lightly onshore wind.

Afternoon Outlook: Moderate WSW onshores peak mid afternoon, then ease into the evening.

Scripps Surf Guide

Scripps Pier, home of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, can occasionally have more defined sandbars, especially on the south side, than ones found just south at La Jolla Shores. Sandbars tend to get more defined after big swells and/or periods of rain.
