Today

Fun size to kinda pumping SW swell, kelp protected spots cleanest. Piers/jetties/reefs for shape.

Afternoon Outlook: Similar size sticking around as SW swell continues -- good direction for N County. Chest-head high surf spreads around well with top spots overhead+. Still not as much of a difference between the typical northernmost standouts and spots south of Carlsbad. Wind is steady from the WSW at report time, spots with some kelp/wind blockage staying cleanest overall. Wind backs off again for an evening clean up session.

Check out Signals for a twice weekly (Mon and Thu nights) East Pacific tropics outlook.
