Head to overhead SSE/S swell. Moderate onshore winds set up choppy and chunky conditions.

No shortage of surf as the center of Bertha passes just offshore. I'd look for widespread waves in the head high range with overhead surf likely for many spots.

The issue is we'll have pretty strong SSE to S winds most of the day which is going to negatively impact the shape and quality of the surf. That said, not often we have waves this size in the summer, so I'd be ready to work and make the most of it. Know your limits if you do decide to paddle out.

Between Pensacola and Panama City Beach, Fort Walton Beach is one of the Panhandle’s go-to zones for pumping surf, particularly the scattered, wedgey peaks of Okaloosa Island Pier, which activates with relative consistency on solid southerly swells.
