Well overhead surf as Bertha passes by. Strong SE to S winds limit options.
No shortage of surf as the center of Bertha passes just offshore. It is head high to well overhead but stormy for all but the most protected spots.
We'll have strong SSE to S winds most of the day which is going to negatively impact the shape and quality of the surf. That said, not often we have waves this size in the summer, so I'd be ready to work and make the most of it. Know your limits if you do decide to paddle out.

This is a spot in front of the Seascape Condominiums just east of Whale's Tail. The highest cliff along the beach overlooks the break. The waves break here much like Pompano Joe's. The outside is the popular break on big days, while the inside is good when smaller. This is also the last place to surf before the road turns inland toward Panama City Beach. Read more
