Dawn-to-Midday: nothing much doing through the morning hours, 1ft sets start to show by lunchtime as N swell start to show. Light, NW breeze. Worth waiting for an afternoon surf lesson/paddle on the log as the swell will edge up a little later today.
Afternoon Outlook: 1-2ft surf at best through the afternoon/evening. Short-period swell so not much to it but with only light, onshore breeze conditions will be Ok for novices.

Despite the freezing winter weather, Saltburn Beach was one of the first outposts of surfing on England's east coast and has developed into one of the UK's real wave-riding hubs.
