Today

Worth keeping an eye on the evening session for small but rideable surf at small-wave reefs.

Morning stays minimal but there will be something to ride during the back half of the day. A modest scale storm in the NW Pacific set up a little bump of mid period NW swell which edges up over the afternoon, getting the small-wave boards going and kinda fun (by July standards), with waist high'ish waves by the end of the day. Steady E trades prevail.

Rockpile Surf Guide

Rockpile is located between Log Cabins and Off-The-Wall, right in front of a pile of rocks, hence the name. This spot offers a big, powerful left that is best on the more NW to WNW angled swells, and a right on the more northerly angled swells. During a more northerly angled swell, this spot is a magnet, pulling in more size than any spot around. During big swells, it's not uncommon for Kam Hwy to get washed out at this spot. Read more
