Short-period E swell offers peaky but somewhat weak surf with onshore winds. Not bad for July
Dawn to Midday: Surf is up a couple notches as low pressure sets up offshore of the region. Fun-size waves into the waist-chest high range, maybe a bit bigger for some. Moderate side onshore NE winds and choppy drifty conditions. Nothing ideal but for the time of year, I would try to get some waves. Warm water.
Afternoon Outlook: Continued onshore winds and less than ideal conditions, but some decently fun sized chunky peaks continue to show.

Break on the quieter, north end of Asbury Park that is on par with most breaks in town but can come alive on south and southeast swells. The wave is mostly set up south of the jetty on 8th. Best on west winds but can handle some southwest. This is the designated surf beach in the summer. Vibrant surf community in Asbury with several surf shops, part of Jersey Shore Surfrider Foundation Chapter. Read more
