Uchiumi Surf Guide
A small harbor town south of Miyazaki City, Uchiumi, well positioned on the indented Nichinan Coast, has a good left reef break. Popular with Miyazaki surfers, it can be a good alternative to area beachbreaks. The left is the main wave and will hold up to 8-foot on seasonal typhoon swells. There is a right on the other side of the channel, which takes a major typhoon swell to start to show. Read more
