Fun, chunky surf with moderate southerly winds. Biggest surf in a while -- take advantage.
Stronger windswell with better spots seeing surf in the waist to chest high range while standouts are bigger than that. Moderate southerly winds mean spots that are biggest are choppy and disorganized but some wind protection offers cleaner conditions and better shape.
It has been a while since we had some surf, so try to make the most of it.

Redington Breakwater Surf Guide
This jetty runs parallel to shore and waves break off the ends -- on a S swell, it breaks off the north end, and on a N swell, it breaks off the south end -- but the south side is definitely the better of the two. A right walls up on a big N swell, almost like a point. It's almost always bigger elsewhere, but it's a good spot for the locals who can't make it to Venice. Read more
