Afternoon Outlook: sheltered beaches the best bet for a cleaner wave this afternoon/evening. Not perfect but Ok waves for the floatier boards tucked in out of the wind. WSW wind and junky conditions at the more exposed breaks, similar surf for the remainder of today.

This huge expense of westerly facing beach is a great swell catcher. At the southern Droskyn end is a good, sometimes hollow left breaking in front of the cliffs from low to mid-tide. The main beach at Perranporth, stretching away to the north, doesn't handle larger swells, but in small to medium surf there's plenty of room to spread the crowds out. Read more
