The takeoff zone at Honky's is actually part of the same reef as Sultans, just 100 yards south, and swells bend in towards the island pretty much from takeoff all the way through. It actually grows in size at it wraps on the inside section."Fred's Ledge" is often two feet bigger than the takeoff. By the time you kick out, the wave has wrapped almost 90 degrees.
