Knee-waist high surf from local windswell/trade swell mix. Onshore winds all day add bump.
Small but rideable surf in the water, mainly from local ENE windswell. Best on the bigger boards with the lack of power. Better spots are seeing waist high peaks but without much shape. Onshore breezes, strongest AM hours. Winds tilt more SE for the PM hours, so we see textured conditions throughout the day but winds do ease somewhat later on.

The pointbreak-like wave that used to make the Cove famous is practically a myth, but when it was on, this wave would throw a reeling left for a couple hundred yards off the First Cove before ending at Federal Point. Now the place works like any other beachbreak. The future of the Cove remains to be seen, but for now, surfers can enjoy the odd swell that dumps in desirable conditions. Read more
