Midday: We have small surf, still just enough for the big boards. Light onshore southerly breezes adding some light texture, but not bad. Surf is knee-thigh high, a few sets near waist high at standout exposures.
Afternoon Outlook: More minor surf with developing southerly breezes and textured conditions.

On big fall and winter swells, hollow beachbreaks explode over old pilings (much of which have been removed after Hurricane Sandy) and rocks. Strong currents rip this way and that.
