What's New

Strava x Sessions

Sessions now has a Strava integration that allows you to sync your surfs between Surfline and Strava.

If you’re the type of surfer who thinks, “if it’s not on Strava, it didn’t happen,” you're going to love this one.

Our next Sessions update comes with a new Strava integration that allows you to:

  • See your surf history in one place, no matter how you record it.
  • Capture the full picture of every session with conditions, ratings, cam stills, and your notes.
  • Share your Sessions with the Strava community and keep your full activity record intact.

Import from Strava → Surfline

Bring over surfs recorded with Strava and see them in your Sessions tab.

Imported sessions are enriched with spot info, cam stills, and condition data from when you surfed, plus your own ratings, notes, and titles. You can pull in up to a year of past sessions.

With everything in one place, you can keep track of the conditions you enjoy most, and use them to plan your next surf.

Export from Surfline → Strava

Log a session to capture your waves, conditions, and reflections, then share it back to Strava for kudos and to keep your complete fitness history across all sports.

How to get started

Head to the Sessions tab in the Surfline app and tap the ‘+’ in the top right to start connecting your Strava account.

Then tap, “Collect a partner,” where you can choose Strava. Once connected, your past surf sessions will start importing, and new ones will sync automatically.

From here, you can also choose if and when to share your sessions back to Strava by tapping on the export button, located on the top right of each individual session.

What's next

Android users, Sessions is just around the corner. Get ready.

Never used Sessions? Now’s a great time to try it out. Head to the Sessions tab in the iOS app to get started (coming to Android soon). Already a Sessions user? Send us your feedback and ideas of what you’d like out of it as we refine our plans, at [email protected].
