Today

Fresh SSW swell moves in through the day. Morning tide push the cleanest option.

Dawn-10am: A new round of SSW swell will fill in over the weekend. It's a little slow on the drained tide early, gets better on the tide push. Lully waist-stomach high waves on tap for average spots early, pushing chest-shoulder high high for better breaks as tide fills in. Spots with structure have the best shape. Light/variable wind early.

Afternoon Outlook: Wind creeps onshore by midday, moderate WNW flow building for the afternoon. A little more size but also bump/texture then.

Oceanside is angled to receive southwest swells more readily than the beaches of central San Diego County, and, during southwest swells, it attracts surfers from all parts of SD. Read more
