Small to fun surf starts the workweek today. Rising afternoon onshores.
Afternoon Outlook: SSW swell lingers. Size runs waist-stomach high on average, pushing chest-high for better breaks in southern Ventura. SW swell forerunners creeping in, but they won't really move the needle until later in the week. Low-end moderate W winds at lunchtime, will be getting breezy over the afternoon.

Mondos is a great alternative for surfers seeking another option to the busy locations around the region. The waves here are usually a bit smaller, but Mondos picks up most swell directions and is rideable during most swell events. The majority of surfers ride longboards, as the break generally consists of a few soft, slow peeling peaks.
