Semi clean surf for the points just pack the small wave gear.

Afternoon Outlook: SSW swell tapers down through the end of the day. Average breaks are in the knee-thigh occ. waist high range, lingering plus sets for summer focal points. Shape and wind are best for the sheltered points as onshore W wind adds texture at the open exposures.

Steady onshore flow and lack of size throttle quality through sundown. A deep evening high tide won't help the slate.

Not all south swells are created equal. From Bombing Teahupo'o to Massive Wedge, watch the science behind the South Pacific's most remarkable run in decades: https://bit.ly/4xS68hZ

The majority of surfers ride longboards, as the break generally consists of a few soft, slow peeling peaks. On a medium-low tide the waves can peak up quite nicely and the rights can run along the break in a point-like fashion. Read more
