SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS
This is one of Tom Carroll's old boards. It's still pretty thick and full, but the tail is so refined and pulled-in that you can get into things really well and you can still step on the tail and get a lot of response on it -- it turns really well. But because the tail's so narrow, it has a tough time getting up and going on little waves, so it needs a bit of a wave to get going.

Six- to eight-foot Tavarua.
