Today

Easing but still fun size, lully surf. Bumpy with W wind this PM but doable if ya wanna get wet

Dawn to 10am: Drained to start the morning, low tide at 6:49am. Worth waiting on the tide push mid-morning for most spots. Blend of holding SW swell and leftover SSW/S swell keeps the lights on, waist-chest high with better breaks topping out around head-high.

Early window looks semi clean with a chance to see some WSW wind chatter. Mid to later AM wind on the tide push is ok.

Afternoon Outlook: Size tapers down a bit further. Building WNW wind expected for the afternoon.

Scripps Surf Guide

Scripps Pier, home of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, can occasionally have more defined sandbars, especially on the south side, than ones found just south at La Jolla Shores. Sandbars tend to get more defined after big swells and/or periods of rain.
