Afternoon Outlook: short-period wind-swell around the 3-4ft this afternoon but it's not pretty. Onshore WSW wind is gusting 30mph+. If you're keen you could get in later in later today as W wind starts to ease back a little. Don't expect anything more than junky 3-4ft, choppy surf.

The three main beaches at Falmouth - Maenporth, Swanpool and Gyllyngvase - can break when an Atlantic storm rolls through or when a solid southwesterly swell marches up from the Bay of Biscay.
