Dawn to Midday: We have light offshore winds early in the day, offering clean conditions. Just enough short period leftover S swell to produce some thigh high waves. Still small but a bit more push to it than what we saw on Monday. Given how slow it has been the day gets a star.
Afternoon Outlook: Southerly winds redevelop for the afternoon, producing deteriorating conditions.

Being the closest consistently surfable spot to New York City, Rockaway is the most popular day trip for city surfers. The beach is easily accessible by the city train system.
