South Shore Oahu Forecast

Today

Down a couple of notches but still pumping & good surf under groomed conditions in town.

SSW swell settles slowly through the day. Widespread head high surf prevails while good spots are a couple to a few feet overhead on sets this morning. Likely some larger sets at standouts but down a couple to a few feet from the peak of the swell on Sunday.

Moderate trades for groomed/good conditions in town and even the normally wind-prone spots aren't too bad this morning.

SURFILMUSIC is hitting theaters this week. Follow Jack Johnson’s journey from surfer and filmmaker to world-renowned musician in the new documentary from director Emmett Malloy. Click here for local screening dates, theater locations, and tickets.

Queen's Surf Guide

Right in the heart of Waikiki, on small to medium-sized days Queen's offers a fun but shorter left and a longer right, usually split evenly by a single A-frame peak. On bigger days, the wave turns into a long left -- one of the best on the South Shore, actually -- and a shorter right. This wave can barrel at times, but usually it is just an easy, rippable face.
