Pumping surf builds through the day, strongest late - bigger than spot/model forecasts show.

Afternoon Outlook: Pumping surf as long-period SSW swell builds to a peak this afternoon/evening - though some spots have slowed down a tad with the high tide. We're seeing widespread surf in the head high to overhead range while better spots are going several feet overhead. Standouts are nearing double overhead on the sets with the continued possibility that select reefs go even larger.

Size has about peaked this evening with similar size expected Monday. Clean conditions continue.

SURFILMUSIC is hitting theaters this week. Follow Jack Johnson’s journey from surfer and filmmaker to world-renowned musician in the new documentary from director Emmett Malloy. Click here for local screening dates, theater locations, and tickets.
