Mornington Peninsula - Phillip Island Forecast

Today

Solid early, open beaches pretty chunky. Cleaner conditions in PM

Very solid conditions on the open coast this morning with these stretches seeing swell lines marching in and many banks struggling to hold the 2-3xOH surf. Wind is NW and adding some lumpiness to conditions. If you surf along these stretches get out early while the tide is higher and be prepared to wear a few on the head - for experienced surfers only. Protected corners a better bet for most - smaller waist to chest high waves inside protected points. PM cleaner on open beaches but tide too low

When these swells are accompanied by a wind from the S or SE, Cat Bay comes into its own.
