Today

Chest+ high windswell with a window of lighter winds midday into early PM. Not great but OK.

Midday: We still have chest+ high range surf at lunch. Light ENE winds offering imrpoving but still bumpy conditions. It has come together a bit since the AM, so it is looking more worthwhile than earlier. Could be worth a go as the tide continues to fill in through mid afternoon.

Afternoon Outlook: Still plenty of waves lingering into the afternoon but eventually we'll see SE winds pick up later in the day, adding some chop to the ocean surface. Not too bad, and could still be worth doing.

Corolla Surf Guide

Corolla is perhaps the most unsung of OBX beaches, and understandably so. Aside from the odd summer swell that misses Nags Head, the beaches here offer few surfing benefits that cannot be found elsewhere on the OBX. There are no specific or consistent breaks to monitor, and it's basically one big shifting sandbar. Sure, you may find a good wave, but it tends to be mushier and farther off the beach, and there will probably be something just as good or better in Dare County. Read more
