Boarding for Breast Cancer to Kick Off 'Check One, Two' Campus Tour
October 6, 2010
PRESS RELEASE

During the month of October, Boarding For Breast Cancer's (B4BC) "Check One, Two" Campus Tour will team up with six Southern California universities to promote breast cancer awareness on campus. In partnership with long-time supporter Skullcandy, this dynamic outreach tour will provide an engaging format to educate young people on the importance of early detection and the value of an active lifestyle in the fight against breast cancer.

"To be able to extend our outreach efforts to major universities has been a long time goal for B4BC," says B4BC's Outreach Director, Blair Young. "Through the support of Skullcandy we're excited to bring breast cancer education to Southern California campuses to teach young women the essential tools to protect their health."

The inaugural B4BC "Check One, Two" Campus Tour kicks off at Loyola Marymount College in Los Angeles on October 12th and will continue making stops throughout the month of October. Working in conjunction with the universities' ski/snowboard teams and women's health departments, each event will be centered around the Boarding For Breast Cancer traveling educational booth. "Test your breast knowledge" trivia contests with prizes from Skullcandy, live screen printing, music and a photo op on the B4BC pink carpet will be part of the day's event.

Universities hosting "Check One, Two" events include:

Tuesday, Oct. 12: Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles)
Wednesday, Oct. 13: University of California, Irvine
Tuesday, Oct. 19: University of California, San Diego
Thursday, Oct. 21: Cal State San Bernardino
