| 02/26/11 | Harry Holiday art show opening reception, this coming Saturday, February 26, 6-10 pm Surfindian will host an opening reception for a new art show from San Diego's own Harry Holiday. The show will feature original paintings and drawings from Harry, and Harry will be painting and creating his signature sketches during the opening reception. We will also be offering limited posters of the image above, and Harry will sign and hand-embellish each poster to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Harry Holiday, aka Harry Daily, Sketch Holiday and Harry the Hat, is an institution in the San Diego surf art scene. His works have appeared in numerous publications, including Switchfoot, Volumes I and II; he and his art have been featured in several surf films; and he has produced works for the Roxy Jam surf contest and other surf events. Harry's art has shown in numerous galleries, coffee houses and restaurants throughout Southern California, and most recently, in Australia. Wherever he wanders, Harry inspires and lightens the mood with his whimsical, magical creations. |
