FORECAST Hurricane Bill Sending Solid Surf to the East Coast

Hurricane Bill has been trekking across the Atlantic Ocean over the past few days. This system sent a solid round of swell to Barbados on Wednesday with light winds there.
 
The swell is currently propagating into our neck of the woods as East Coast surfers are jumping out of their skins for some solid surf. But what can we expect? Click on the video to find out...

there probley just gonna close the public beaches. but if you hit up like sea grove it should be stight and it can handle big waves there

Ya surfed vb today was easily 7 foot at my break.checked some other places like dam neck and fortstory but there were to many kooks so i packed it up and went south. i saw the nugs rollin in around 49th street at 3pm. Got some solid surf. i got pitted like 14 times. im really super duper stoked with this forcast and its mellow that you guys are doin this. get out there and show up and blowup everyone!

sure a lot of hype for a one maybe two day swell that will probably max out every beach break on the east coast!

Surfed Cocoa for last years Ike Swell...Easily Overhead...Picnic Tables can hold a swell this big...anything S of the Pier...I usually surf at S 14th...its a hell of a paddle tho...the lineup spreads out good

Yeah I also herd something about a couple beaches being closed in montauk but im surfing anyway. I hope they dont close the beaches, and great forecast thanks alot

thanks for the time spent on this one. Maybe this will pick up the business for the local shapers because of all the broken sticks.
