The final day of the Pipeline Pro Benefit for Girl Scouts wrapped up in surf that varied from two- to five-foot today. While the sun hid behind dreary clouds, the surfing did the shining instead.

But every now and then, bright beams of light would poke through the gray, just as the occasional hollow set would hit, which more closely resembled classic Pipe than today's shouldery peaks. Claire Bevilacqua made good work of the WQS final when she defeated local Oahu phenomenon, Carissa Moore. While, in the longboard division, Cori Schumacher won yet another pro event, relegating Crystal Dzigas to runner-up.
