They both rip! I hope to see them both enjoy long, back and forth competitive careers. Surfing wins.

Jordy and Dane are both exceptional surfers in all conditions but I think Dane has a bit more natural ability, some of the stuff he can do on a wave is freaky check his first chapter movie to see what I mean.

Talk talk talk... The name Jordy Smith and talk walk hand in hand. Time will tell and the race for rookie of the year is on. I think that guy named Dane is in the lead???

It is kind of hard to tell which one is better they both just got on the WCT. I personally think Dan is but I definitely could be wrong. It will all be up to them to see who is best but they both will be on the top 10 for years to come that is for sure.

Fair enough. I'll remember 'Socal IB' and we will see how this year ends. Dane will be higher then Jordy, that I promise. And I'll make a note in my Outlook to remind me in five years to check the WCT top five.

Totally disagree, Jordy is better overall. He comes from better waves and has more experience. He will be world champion or top 5 for years to come at least. Dano is already over traveling ,the tour, and not free-surfing enough. If he could surf for free like Rastavich, he would. Jordy is hungry. His turns, freak manuevers, and power surfing easily stand up to Danos. Jordy scored the most lucrative contract in surfing history and has racked the highest point accumulation ever on tour in one yr.

Dane Reynolds is the man. This is like Peyton Manning versus Ryan Leaf. Skill is one thing, attitude is another. Five years from now Jordy will be burned out and scrapping around the WQS and Reynolds will be in the top five of the WCT.
