November 26, 2002 (Waimea Bay, Oahu) - Buoy number one off Kaui peaked at 2:00am on November 26th at 23 feet, 20 seconds. And while a clean up set steamed through Waimea on Monday evening, Tuesday morning was the Bay of legend: light offshores, sunny blue skies and 20- to 25-foot bombs, enjoyed by a couple dozen locals and visitors, including Joel Parkinson, Taylor Knox, numerous unidentified Brazilian chargers, old school legends and the new North Shore flyweight heavies like Jesse Merle-Jones and Mark Healey.
