2012 Surf Experience Day Hosted by The Mauli Ola Foundation in Galveston, Texas

Mark your calendars! Be a part of something special, come down to Galveston, Texas for the Mauli Ola Foundation Surf Experience Day on Aug. 24th, 2012.
The Surf Experience Day beach event runs from 2 pm to 4 pm on Friday the 24th at Galveston State Park, and there will also be an evening bbq plate dinner at Southern Spears Surf Shop at 61st and Seawall blvd. Big Aloha to Damien & the boys of Southern Spears Surf Shop!
On Saturday night the 25th come hang wth the boys from Mauli Ola, the "gathering" will be hosted by the Island Bros and the Houston/Galveston surf community from 8 - midnight at The Pressbox in downtown Galveston. Come and meet the Mauli Ola pros, support the cause, and participate in the raffle. Prizes given away include: a Surfboard from Southern Spears, GoPro Hd Cameras, Mauli Ola gear, and much much more..Thanks to all our generous sponsors and local businesses for your support! Come party with the pros and maybe take home some gear as well! Keep posted to this page for the most up to date news for the Galveston event.
The event will help kids with Cystic Fibrosis get in the water to surf, an activity that helps clear out mucus from their lungs as they struggle to breath. The activity mimics saline treatments they have to take, and the surfing community has stepped up to help these kids in their fight against this disease.
