Last Friday night we hit the road for the Volcom Store in Los Angeles, where Volcom was launching Todd Bratrud's Pin Up Art show.
Todd Bratrud is well known in the art world as well as the skateboard industry, (the two kinda go hand in hand these days) after creating graphics for Consolidated Skateboards for the last ten years or so, as well as working with the likes of Nike, Volcom, Teenage Runaway and Flip Skateboards.
Inside the store, Todd's groups of burlesque-style pin up girls (12 in all) lined the walls in the art loft upstairs, and were complimented by a yearlong calendar so you can appreciate all the ladies one month at a time.
Girls lined the floor to get a glimpse of the art and perhaps the artist himself. Boys jockeyed for their attention while sipping the ice-cold, golden brown nectar being poured from never-ending taps. The noise from LA and San Diego bands, Tweak Bird and Earthless bellowed from the stage set up on the opposite side of the store...
