CONDITIONS: Well-groomed three- to five-foot sets and long, peeling rights for the 3rd Annual Halloween Skins comp at Domes in Rincon, Puerto Rico.
OVERALL PERFORMERS: Carlos Cabrera blew up in the first heat for a quick 150 bucks. Then Darren Muschett happened. The 27-year-old stopped Cabrero and didn't let up, cruising to seven consecutive skins. 14-year-old Mauro Diaz nabbed three consecutive skin wins with a mix of really smooth carving and some punctuated tricks in the mix.
Other notables were Tommy Bursian, capturing four skins, and Wilfredo Feleiz, who locked in on two. Jose Taverez and Miguel Diaz were on fire as well. Diaz stuck a clean frontside punt to put him in the running for the Vitamin Water 'Best Air.'

HIGHLIGHTS: The costumes. Puerto Ricans love Halloween. Some of the coolest costumes included wrestling masks, Tarzan, Goofy, John Travolta with a ski mask, the Scream, Echo Beach Newport, and Collin MacNamera dressed as an Oscar Myer Wiener. The mood on the beach was all-time.
