So why not give yoga and a whole foods diet a try if there's a chance it'll improve your fitness and mental clarity, in turn benefiting your surfing? It sounds kind of cheesy but you don't have to be a hemp-wearing, Nag Champa-loving hippie in order to understand and appreciate the benefits that this type of lifestyle can offer. Rochelle Ballard knows that.
Rochy has been a pro surfer since she was 19 and today, at the age of 38, she still looks damn fit to say the least, and the proof is in her surfing. Whether it's pigdogging on a double-overhead Pipe bomb or burying some rail on a one-foot Seaside mushburger, she's never failed to maintain her strength, flexibility, mental stability and overall performance. So we asked Rochelle to share her secrets on how she's kept up appearances over the years.
