A FULL HOUSE
Dear and Yonder premieres to hundreds of surfing fans at La Paloma Theatre
With three years in the making, Tiffany Campbell and Andria Lessler's cinematic art project finally hit the big screen in Encinitas, California last night. And while La Paloma Theatre has been host to hundreds, if not thousands, of surf premieres over the past few decades, Dear and Yonder drew a crowd big enough to compete with even the most popular Taylor Steele films. But rightfully so. It's been three years since the last major all-female surf film was released and surf fans -- male and female -- have been waiting for something new to soak up. So with nearly 800 people filling the house, La Paloma provided the most successful premiere two young, inspiring surf film makers could ask for.
Just like summer, the Dear and Yonder tour has only just begun. So make sure to get to your local showing of the film and pick up some of the awesome giveaways, courtesy of Roxy, while you're at it.
