The Vans Triple Crown at Sunset Beach will see reinforcing NW swell on Sunday that will keep the surf in the overhead to double overhead range. Smaller surf is expected for Mon-Tue.

Old Southern Hemi SSW/S swell-mix lingers through the next couple days as a pulse of SSE/S tropical swell from Hurricane Orlene show. Winds are generally favorable in the mornings, with light to moderate onshore flow developing in the afternoons. The surf continues to look slower late in the waiting period.

The ISA World Surfing Games will have fading SW swell on Sunday to start the event. Monday and Tuesday are small, but contestable, with more surf lining up through the end of the event. Winds are generally best in the mornings.

Series of large, intense lows to send an overlapping series of SSW swells Wednesday through Saturday, with the largest of the bunch expected Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. The WSL Puerto Escondido Challenge has been given the green light to run on Friday with surf in the 20-35' (faces) range expected.
