North San Diego Forecast

Today

Strong SSW swell builds all day. Maxes out most beachbreaks, reefs generally best. Clean AM.

Dawn-10am: Widespread head high surf can be expected, even on the more southerly angled swell (although some spots just as big - if not bigger - on the previous, more westerly SW swell). Good spots are a couple to a few feet overhead. Powerful with lots of current at open beachbreaks. Generally clean in the AM with wind light/variable.

Afternoon Outlook: Swell eventually peaks, standouts far north county push 2x overhead. Onshores mainly mellow into the PM - some crumble but not bad.

Oceanside Pier Surf Guide

Although sandbars move and shift along this stretch continually, there are consistent breaks on the north end at the harbor's north and south jetties, and on both sides of the pier. Oceanside is angled to receive southwest swells more readily than the beaches of central San Diego County, and, during southwest swells, it attracts surfers from all parts of SD. Read more
