A hurricane force low pressure system in the North Atlantic is moving E/SE from Greenland today and has a substantial fetch of 50-80kt winds aimed at Western Europe. As a result, we're expecting a significant swell event to impact Europe early to mid this week. However, many (but not all) places will have to deal with unfavorable local winds at times.

Latest Highlights/Real Time Data of Note:
Early Sunday morning we received a satellite observation of 60 feet that was located just west of where the highest seas are expected. This means there is potential that the seas are even higher near the core.

The impressive satellite recorded wave observation is above model expectations, and it should be noted that we typically only see 60-foot-plus seas recorded in “surf worthy” storms a handful of times a year. Additional real time updates will be provided in the ongoing feed on our iPhone app.
