Uluwatu Possible Drowning--July 17, 2012

Posted: (07/31)
I was surfing Uluwatu on the morning of Tuesday, July 17, 2012 with 5-6 other people and attempted to rescue what I believe was a drowning surfer. A surfboard was tombstoning in the impact zone and broke free as another surfer and I paddled over. The board was lost. We could not find anyone underwater in the area and nobody was able to find a body or verify that someone drowned.

I am posting this in the event that anyone is missing a friend or family member that was surfing Uluwatu during this period. He was described as Austrailian, early 20s, with shoulder length hair.
