Saturday and Sunday saw the best surf Florida's Panhandle had seen for a mighty long time -- maybe ever. Just ask Matt Kechele, Asher Nolan, Adam Wickwire, David Awbrey, the Spencer family and assorted locals and visitors -- they're still smiling. (Our hearts and thoughts go out to those affected by Katrina's wrath -- surfing is a guilty pleasure, and never as much as during a storm like this.)
