Jaws hasn't really started off the season with a bang like last year, but Maui's most famous big wave did see a few days of giant surf in the last week of December. The swells were kinda west, making for a few closeout sets, but compared to last year, crowds have been light. |

Despite the fact that the mid-January swell was super west and many of the bigger sets missed the reef, Shane Dorian did manage to snag the biggest wave of the day on Monday, January 17th at Peahi.
