If there is a more uninviting wave on the planet, God hasn't been pissed off enough to create it yet. In the meantime, Satan's surfed here twice.

If you've ever seen the best surfers in the world performing live, you'll notice that they're always trying to slow themselves down: Stalling. Fading. Down-carving... You almost never see them pumping for more speed, and they don't race towards sections -- they set them up. That's how fast these guys go. In fact, if not for super crisp, slow-motion edits like this, all you'd ever see out of Taj Burrow is fins and tail and spray and wake.

Mick Fanning, Nick Rozsa and friends share a bite to eat and score a super fun exchange of beach breaks in Australia.

North Avalon heats up with some grinding lefts, giving some local Aussies the rides of their lives.

Maroubra's Bra Boys, including Koby Abberton, Mark Mathews, Ritchie Vaculik, Evan Faulks and Bronte surfers Kobi Graham John Bones Dwyer take on some of the meanest tubes ever seen on the East Coast of Australia. Mark Mathews calls it "heavier than Shipstern's Bluff".

Tamarama, just south of Bondi Beach in Sydney's fancy Eastern Suburbs, sees more bodyboarders and old Italian men in Speedos than giant surf; but on Australia's first big cyclone swell of the year, March 28th, the outer reefs roared to life. Former pro Rod Kerr and local Aaron Graham went for the tow-in as huge crowds lined the beach.

Contests

In contrast to a traditional surfing competition, the day's format followed a unique format in which a wheel was spun at the start of each heat, dictating which aerial tricks the surfers had to perform. B, O, O, S, T letters were awarded for each successful manoeuvre and the six highest scoring surfers who spelt 'BOOST' went into the final.

Locals

Nick Rozsa journeyed to Oz for the trip of a lifetime. Video footage from all over Australia, Gold Coast to Sydney, with Nick tearing the roof off fun waves.
