G'day, this is David with your Santa Cruz Surf Forecast effective Thursday afternoon.

Central California Recap: THURSDAY – WNW swell held up solid and consistent overhead waves for any well exposed spot today. Standout breaks were up to the double overhead range, and larger at times, on the better waves. Winds have been on the light side all day for mostly clean conditions as well.

Central California Surf Forecast Outlook: Plenty of sizeable NW-WNW groundswell in the water through the weekend and into early next week! Check the forecast for details and the longer range outlook.

FRIDAY: WNW swell is holding pretty steady through the day with waist-head high waves at average breaks, standouts see some overhead sets by a couple feet. Conditions cleanest early. Big high tide through the late morning slows many spots down during that time.
Wind/Weather: Light S early and building through the morning. Steady S to SW by mid-morning and through the afternoon, shifting NW after dark. Rain is possible.
