Hey, this is David with the report for Thursday afternoon at 12:10pm.
2-4 ft. - knee to shoulder high and poor-fair conditions.
PM REGIIONAL OVERVIEW: Onshore flow continues to hack things up and put a pretty decent chop to the surface this afternoon. Southern hemi energy is fading but still offering rideable waves in the knee-waist high range with very inconsistent belly-chest high sets for the standout spots. Shape is real weak, sectiony and broken up with a deep 5' high tide at 2pm.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Inconsistent southern hemi sets getting up to around shoulder high. Mostly close-outs.
Sunny skies with W/NW winds 8-12kts+
Conditions not looking so hot for the dawn patrol with a fairly stiff onshore breeze hacking things up. Modest mix of fading SSW groundswell and NW windswell holding mainly waist high waves with occasional chest high sets for the better spots but oveall shape is ugly. Tide hits a 1.9' low at 7:20am. Watch for a possible drop in water temps from yesterday's onshore winds, might not be a bad idea to pack a wettie if you are going for a surf.
FRIDAY: Old SSW swell fades further as a touch of new SSW swell very slowly builds. Small NW windswell is also in the mix. The better breaks see mainly knee-waist high sets, while standouts are still a little better at times.
Wind: Light/variable early, with W wind to 9-13kts for the afternoon.
