Hey, this is Schaler with the report for Monday afternoon
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: Crumbly, weak, semi-clean surf is on tap this afternoon as old NW swell-mix continues to fade with small Southern Hemi energy in the mix. Better breaks have knee-waist high surf, with a few slightly larger sets for standout spots. All in all, the surf isn't looking to great this afternoon, but it's worth a look if you have low expectations and some spare time this afternoon.
THIS MORNING'S DAWN PATROL: Soft and sectiony with a bit more focus and steeper faces on the best of the sets.
Partly cloudy skies with calm winds right now.
Today's waves are best suited to the 
Super Fish.
A fading combo of NW WNW with a trace of SW too means smaller surf across the board. Continued High to Low tide swings will affect the size and shape of the surf at all areas through out the day as well. Expect the most size earlier on in the day. Waist to Chest + waves are the norm with occasional Shoulder high set waves at th areas most open to this swell mixture.
County Health officials advise against going into the water for 72 hours after rain due to elevated bacteria levels.
