Hey, this is Sherwood with the report for Sunday afternoon at 12PM. 3-4 ft. + - waist to shoulder highwith occasional 5 ft. and fair - conditions.
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: Still plenty of waves on tap this afternoon. Expect waist-head high+ surf with top spots seeing overhead sets. Conditions don't look too bad just yet, and the tide hits a 4.8' high around 12:30PM.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Some good sets and peaks rolling through with pick and choose corners. Clean surface conditions. Tide pushing in all morning.
Mostly clear with light onshore flow. W/WSW winds build through the rest of the afternoon. Today we have a mix of WNW and SSW groundswells along with some S tropical swell from Marie. Plenty of waves on tap across the region with surf mainly in the 3-4' range at the better spots and peaky from the crossed up swells. Select standout breaks have a few 5' peaks popping up. Surface conditions are clean with calm to light offshore wind. Tide is filling in to a 4.7' High by 12:35pm. MONDAY: Mix of all sorts - fading WNW and SSW energy, new SW groundswell, and S tropical swell from Marie. Surf hangs mostly in the waist-shoulder high range at the better breaks. Peaky from the crossed up swells. Wind: Calm to light offshore wind early then increasing from the W around 5-10kts over the afternoon.

On Saturday, November 1, 2008 the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, CA will be hosting the first annual Surfscience Teen Conference.The Conference starts at 10:00am and goes until 4:00pm and is open to 8th-12th grade students.
