Hey, this is Schaler with the report for Monday afternoon
PM REGIONAL OVERVIEW: WNW swell mix fades further this afternoon with waist-chest high surf at better breaks across the region. Top spots pull in occasional plus sets. There are scattered, decent corners on tap at most breaks if you don't mind a little surface lump/bump.
This Morning's Dawn Patrol: Soft and sectiony with some pick off steeper faces that could use less tide.
Partly cloudy with SSW winds to 5kts.
Today's waves are best suited to the
Fatburner.
A solid mix of WNW wind and ground swells is putting out Chest to Shoulder + waves at most areas. A few spots most open to this combo are seeing occasional Head + set waves. It's pretty sloppy over all and the high tide at dawn isn't helping either.
Health officals advice against any ocean contact within 72 hours of a rain event due to elevated bacteria levels, especially near rivermouths, harbors and drainpipes.
